The incline fitness bench press is a variation of the traditional bench press exercise. It targets the upper chest, shoulders, and triceps muscles.
To perform the incline bench press:
1. Adjust the bench to a 30-45 degree incline angle.
2. Lie down on the bench with your feet flat on the ground and your back pressed firmly against the bench.
3. Grab the barbell with an overhand grip, slightly wider than shoulder-width apart.
4. Lift the barbell off the rack and hold it directly over your chest, with your arms fully extended.
5. Lower the barbell slowly and under control towards your upper chest, allowing your elbows to bend naturally.
6. Pause for a moment when the barbell is just above your chest.
7. Push the barbell back up to the starting position by extending your arms and squeezing your chest muscles.
8. Repeat for the desired number of repetitions.
