TA9 Titanium alloy bar flaw detection is also known as Gr9 grade titanium bar flaw detection, titanium bar ultrasonic flaw detection uses the principle of ultrasonic wave propagation in the material to detect defects within the titanium bar, such as porosity, inclusions, cracks and so on. Because titanium and titanium alloys have good corrosion resistance, high strength and low density, etc., they are widely used in aviation, aerospace, medical and other fields. However, titanium has poor ultrasonic propagation characteristics and high hardness, so it requires high ultrasonic flaw detection technology. The process of ultrasonic flaw detection of titanium rods mainly includes the following steps
(1) Calibration and adjustment: Use standard test blocks to calibrate the ultrasonic flaw detection equipment to ensure that the equipment can accurately detect the known defects in the test blocks.
(2) Selection of coupling agent: Select the appropriate coupling agent to reduce the energy loss of ultrasonic wave propagation between the probe and the inspected material.
Probe selection: Select the appropriate probe according to the diameter of the titanium rod and the depth of the expected defects. The probe should be in close contact with the surface of the titanium rod to ensure that the ultrasonic waves can be effectively propagated.
(3) Scanning and Inspection: The probe moves along the titanium rod while the ultrasonic waves emitted by the equipment pass through the rod.
