Tubesheet3 for heatexchanger
The tube sheet has holes drilled to accommodate a series of pipes within a closed tubular pressure vessel. These pressure vessels are often called shell-and-tube heat exchangers and are the most commonly used heat exchangers in refineries and large chemical plants. The tube sheets themselves serve as supporting elements for heat exchangers and boilers. Tubesheets are so named because tubes carefully arranged in a specific pattern penetrate the tubesheet at multiple locations to allow fluid within these tubes to flow into and out of the heat exchanger. Fluid flowing through the tubes within the housing exchanges heat with fluid flowing into the housing, while fluid flowing outside the tubes exchanges heat with fluid within the tubes.
