The headlights for Mercedes Benz GLK debuted at the 2008 Detroit Auto Show as the Mercedes Benz headlights version of the GLK Freeside concept car.
Mercedes headlights USA teamed up with four car tuning companies to develop the newly launched GLK at the 2008 SEMA Auto Show in Las Vegas. The four tuners are Boulevard Customs, Brabus, RENNtech and Leegendary, and they all have the opportunity to design their own versions.
Benz headlights of GLK shares the platform of the C-Class (W204), and the GLK's production plan continued after the similar model Smart Formore was eliminated.
