In order to meet the functional or anatomic reduction standard after the reduction of various fractures,the fractures combined with nerve and blood vessel injury were investigated and internal fixation was performed at the same time,and multiple fractures were convenient for nursing.According to the biomechanical function and fixation mode of each plate when used in clinic,we mainly divided the plate into pressure plate,neutral plate, support plate and bridge plate. The use of any steel plate should be careful to protect the blood supply of the fracture block and avoid excessive soft tissue stripping.A simple shaft fracture,such as a transverse or short oblique fracture,the compression plate technique should be used.Compression between fracture blocks can be achieved in four ways,by tension compression device,by dynamic compression principle,by over-bending the plate to shape,or by attaching a tension screw through the plate hole.In the case of long oblique fractures,spiral fractures or wedge fractures,interblock compression with lag screws is applied after anatomic reduction of the fracture,but in order to avoid the effect of shear stress on the screws,the plate used is a neutral plate to neutralize bending or shear stress.In metaphyseal or epiphyseal shear or split fractures,screws alone are used to apply pressure between the bones,or a supporting plate may be used to fix them.Complex fractures of the metaphyseal or shaft are encountered,bridging plates should be used.
