Guar gum (guar gum) is obtained from the endosperm part of the legume Cyamposis tetragonolobus (Cyamposis tetragonolobus) seed after peeling and degerminating, dried and crushed, then added water, subjected to pressure hydrolysis, precipitated with 20% ethanol, separated by centrifugation, and dried and crushed. It is mainly produced in the dry regions of Pakistan and India or in the southeastern United States. Also known as Guargum, Guargum or guanidine gum, the English name is Guargum, mainly produced in India and Pakistan. Commercial glue is generally white to light yellow-brown free flowing powder, close to no smell, also without any other odor, generally containing 75% ~ 85% polysaccharide, 5% ~ 6% protein, 2% ~ 3% fiber and 1% ash. Guar gum is a kind of non-ionic galactomannan extracted from endosperm of guar bean. Guar gum and its derivatives have good water solubility and high viscosity at low mass fraction. Because of this characteristic, it has been applied in many aspects, such as paper making, medicine, textile printing and dyeing.
